Anne Thisbe is one of the Other NPCs in Hogwarts Legacy. Anne Thisbe is a former student at Hogwarts who was convicted of a murder and sent to Azkaban. These NPCs don't refer to any other of the categorizations such as Students or Professors. They are, nevertheless, important characters that may have an influence in the story of the game.

Anne Thisbe Information in Hogwarts Legacy

Anne Thisbe was a witch who attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry over 50 years before the events of Hogwarts Legacy. She was romantically linked to Richard Jackdaw and was set to meet him one night to follow a map he had found. In an effort to impress and woo her, Jackdaw had devised a series of puzzles for Anne to solve before they met. After some time, Jackdaw thought she had written him off and went on without her. It is during this excursion that he was killed and decapitated, and his body was never found.

Jackdaw returned as a ghost some time later, wholly unaware of the circumstances of his death. Anne had tried to tell the authorities that she was to meet him to follow a map, but was not able to as she was trying to solve the puzzles Jackdaw had set up for her. However, without Jackdaw's remains, puzzles or the map, Anne was convicted of his murder and was sent to Azkaban. Her conviction and incarceration were largely decided by the false testimony of one Apollonia Black, who was jealous of Anne and claimed that she threatened to kill Jackdaw after he broke her heart.

Helen Thistlewood, a retired Auror was in charge of Jackdaw's murder but was ultimately unable to solve the case and Anne remained in Azkaban for decades, her mental state deteriorating over many years of being tormented by the Dementors. The protagonist meets with Helen at the urging of her great-uncle, Eldritch Diggory, former Minister of Magic, who had heard about the protagonist's search for the missing pages which ultimately lead to Jackdaw's demise. Helen feels responsible for Anne and feels as though Anne blames her for not solving her case. She accompanies the protagonist to Azkaban in the hopes that Anne would provide some new information that could exonerate her. Decades of wrongful imprisonment had taken a toll on the Anne's mind. Speaking in cryptic rhymes and riddles, she offers a hint as to where some of Jackdaw's missing pages may be. Afterwards, she calls out to Helen and attacks her, but the Auror was able to apparate with the protagonist back to safety just in time as Anne laughs maniacally behind the bars of her cell.
