Arachnophobia Mode is a new game mode or modification in Hogwarts Legacy. The Arachnophobia Mode was released together with the latest Patch Note that featured a bulk of new bug fixes and updates to the game, the patch is by far, the biggest one that features a huge amount of updates that address multiple issues that have been reported by players. Arachnophobia Mode Information
Arachnophobia Mode in Hogwarts Legacy enchants the eight-legged creatures into a "Riddikulus" state, it reduces the features of a spider to accommodate players who have the fear of Arachnophobia or better yet, for players who simply just want to have a fun experience when combatting the spiders in the game. This modification is officially released by the game's developer Avalanche Software and it has been released together with the latest patch note that included tons of bug fixes and changes to performance and gameplay.
How do I use Arachnophobia Mode?
- Make sure you download and update your game with the latest patch.
- Launch the game and go to the Options Menu
- Look for Accessibility Options and find Arachnophobia Mode
- By default, this is turned off. To try it out, simply turn it on.
What Changes in Arachnophobia Mode?
The following changes are applied to your game when Arachnophobia Mode is on:
- Changes all enemy spider appearances
- Removes small spider ground effect spawners
- Reduces and removes spider skitters and screeches
- Makes static spiders corpses in the world invisible (NOTE: Collision is still active to prevent players from getting stuck when in this mode)
- The spiders in Hogwarts Legacy show that the spiders' legs are replaced with roller skates and their body has a more cartoon design making it less menacing. However, even if there are these changes, these enemies can still pack a punch when they attack you, be cautious when fighting a pack of spiders!
Arachnophobia Mode will NOT change the spider images in the Field Guide. This latest patch also includes fixes for game saves, resolves the Lodgok quest lock, washes some dirty robes, and much more. Please visit our Patch Notes page to view the full notes/changes.
