Assignments are a type of Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. Many professors have agreed to teach you Spells outside of class in an effort to catch you up with your peers. But first, each shall ask that you complete a few preliminary tasks to hone your magic. Assignments are given by Professors in Hogwarts that, when completed, will reward you with new Spells. This was commanded by Professor Weasley on your first day at Hogwarts, and your first Assignment is given by Professor Ronen.
Assignments are different from Main quests, but it doesn't mean that you can complete the game without completing any assignments, as some Spells obtained by completing Assignments are actually needed to complete some Main Quests. It is recommended that you learn as many spells as you can, to be able to discover all types of secrets and to be able to solve every puzzle in the game.
