Beasts Class is a Main Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. Beasts Class serves as an introduction to Beasts and teaches students how to properly handle and care for them. Main Quests are mandatory Quests that tell the main story of the game, and completing all of them will accomplish the completion of the game. Still, that doesn't mean that Subquests, Challenges and Collections are not important, as these quests grant very useful items as rewards for completion and also contain a lot of Lore.
Beasts Class Hogwarts Legacy Walkthrough
Go to Beasts class
Select the Beasts Class quest and follow the marker to reach the location without difficulties.
This quest serves as an introduction to Beasts and acquaints players with how to handle and care for them. Professor Howin welcomes you to the class and proceeds to review the basics of how to handle the majestic creatures. She instructs Poppy Sweeting to assist you with today's lesson. After a brief mishap and scolding from the Professor, Poppy allows you to practice Beast care on Gerald, the Puffskein.
Brush the Puffskein
Poppy will hand you her Beast Petting Brush and you are tasked with brushing Gerald. Press 
on the D-Pad and assign the Beast Petting Brush to your Spell Set. Afterwards, use the brush to complete the objective.
Feed the Puffskein
Next, Poppy will task you with feeding the Gerald, which unlocks the Beast Feed item. Just as with the Brush, assign the feed to your Spell Set and use it to feed Gerald.
While performing these tasks, you may notice these icons above the Beasts you are interacting with: 
The first icon indicates Beast Care while the second one indicates Beast Hunger. When a Beast has been cared for (grooming, etc.) and fed, these icons will turn green: 
Once the task is complete, Professor Howin will instruct everyone to move to the pens to work on other Beasts. Once again, she tasks Poppy to assist you, leading you towards the Kneazles in one of the pens.
Feed a Kneazle
After the cutscene, step inside the pen and feed one of the Kneazles, just as you did with Gerald. Once complete, Professor Howin will end the class, asking students to leave the pens and close them. She calls out to you for a conversation.
Speak with Professor Howin
The Professor will check on how you felt about your first Beasts class and inform you about some assignments that Professor Weasley had asked her to prepare for you. She tells you to be on the lookout for her owl and also encourages you to learn more about the different Beasts on your own time. Afterwards, Poppy will call out to you.
Talk to Poppy
Poppy will thank you once again for dealing with the Slytherin brutes earlier and says there is someone she'd like you to meet in the Forest.
Go with Poppy
Follow Poppy to the location. On the way, take note of the veins of Moonstone which you can attack to collect the resource. Once you arrive, Poppy will whistle to call on her friend, Highwing the Hippogriff. She then asks you to introduce yourself but asks that you mind to show proper courtesy when approaching the creature. Follow the on-screen prompts to perform a bow.
Brush & Feed Highwing
Brush and Feed Highwing just as you did with the previous Beasts and she will take flight. Poppy will then tell you some backstory about how she came to know the Hippogriff, as well as the area's growing poacher problem. She tells you that she's thinking about looking into it and you ask that she updates you when she knows more. The quest completes after the conversation.
Hogwarts Legacy Beasts Class Information
Today I attended Beasts class taught by Professor Howin where I learned to care for Puffskeins and Kneazles. Then I got to talking with Poppy Sweeting and together we prevented some unsavoury students from hurting the Kneazles. I must have gained Poppy’s trust, because she led me to a nearby glade and introduced me to a Hippogriff named Highwing. I think I made two new friends today.
