Collection Chests | Hogwarts Legacy Wiki

Collection Chests are a type of Collections in Hogwarts Legacy. Collection Chests, hidden throughout the game world, are essential for completing the Collector's Edition Trophy and Achievement. To find them, you have explore the game world. Collection Chests are scattered throughout the world and can be located in unusual places around the castle, such as under the gardens or in hidden corners.

Hogwarts Grounds

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Arithmancy Class #1

• Location: Collection Chest found at the Viaduct Entrance. Go south from the Divination Classroom Floo Flames and go upstairs. Follow the path until you can turn right. You will find a puzzle door at the end of the path. Turn around and you'll see a small chest on the bench, open it and get the Arithmancy Study Guide Page. Use the information from that Quest Item to decipher the puzzle door. Once you open the door you'll see the collection chest.

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Arithmancy Class #2

• Location: If you've already opened the puzzle door from Arithmancy Class #1, you can continue through the corridor. Once you reach a classroom, go to the puzzle door you'll see on the left-hand side. You would need to solve the puzzle door to open and for the collection chest to reveal itself.

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Arithmancy Class #3

• Location: If you've already opened the puzzle door from Arithmancy Class #1, you can continue through the corridor. Once you reach a classroom, go to the puzzle door you'll see straight ahead. You would need to solve the puzzle to open the door, the collection chest is just right behind the puzzle door.

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Bell Tower #1

• Location: Collection Chest found in the Bell Tower. From the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flames, go left and head upstairs until you reach the music room. Then go southwest where you can continue to climb the tower. Continue ascending until you reach the balcony and go around to find the collection chest.

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Bell Tower #2

• Location: Collection Chest found in the Bell Tower. From the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flames, go left and head upstairs until you reach the music room. Then go southwest where you can continue to climb the tower. Continue ascending until you reach the balcony, you will see a frog statue on your right, interact with it and you'll be transported to the opposite tower. Straight ahead is where you'll find the collection chest.

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Bell Tower #3

• Location: Collection Chest found in the Bell Tower. From the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flames, go left and head upstairs until you reach the music room. Then go southwest where you can continue to climb the tower. Continue ascending until you reach the balcony, you will see a frog statue on your right, interact with it and you'll be transported to the opposite tower. Go around the corner on your left and you'll find the collection chest.

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Central Hall

• Location: Collection Chest found in Central Hall. From the Central Hall Floo Flames, go downstairs and turn left and you'll see a fountain. Going down the stairs, you'll see a puzzle door on the right. You will see the first question mark on the left of the door and the second one located on the floor above. Solve the puzzle to decipher the puzzle door and open the collection chest.

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Defence Against the Dark Arts Tower

• Location: Collection Chest found in the Defence Against the Dark Arts Tower. From the Charms Classroom Floo Flames, you can go around the corner on the left, you will see a puzzle door. Decipher the puzzle to open the door and open the collection chest.
• Reward:

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Faculty Tower #1

• Location: Collection Chest found in the Faculty Tower. From the Clock Tower Courtyard Floo Flames, turn around and go through each door untul you rach the other side. Once inside, turn right and continue the path until you see the stairs. Head up the stairs and you'll see a frog statue next to a spiral staircase, interact with the frog statue to transport you to another room. Use Lumos to light your surroundings and you'll spot the collection chest on your right.

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Faculty Tower #2

• Location: Collection Chest found in the Faculty Tower. From the Faculty Tower Floo Flames, make your way through the corridor until you see a door on the right, enter it, then go upstairs. After going up, you'll see a puzzle door and the first question mark can be seen on the left of the door, the second one is on the right side. Solve the puzzle to open the door, the collection chest is just right behind it. (Note that you can only access this area after completing The Caretaker's Lunar Lament Main Quest)
• Reward:

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Grand Staircase

• Location: Collection Chest found at the Grand Staircase. From the Grand Staircase Floo Flames, immediately head up the stairs and turn right, then go up the stairs again. On the left you'll find the puzzle door. You'll see the first question mark right next to the door, the second one is located back down the stairs next to the Floo Flames. Solve the puzzle to open the door to have access to the collection chest.

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - The Great Hall

• Location: Collection Chest found at The Great Hall. From the Great Hall Floo Flames, turn left, then left again to find the puzzle door on the hallway. Solve the two question marks, the collection chest is just beyond the puzzle door.

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Library — Restricted Section

• Location: Collection Chest found at the Library — Restricted Section. Find this collection chest during the Secrets of the Restricted Section Main Quest. As you progress through the quest, you'll come across a dark room, use Lumos to light up your surroundings and you'll see the collection chest placed on a table.

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Professor Fig's Classroom

• Location: Collection Chest found in Professor Fig's Classroom. Go inside Professor Fig's Classroom and you'll immediately spot the collection chest on the table.

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Long Gallery

• Location: Collection Chest found at the Long Gallery. To gain access to this section, you must first acquire the Spell Alohomora, you'll receive this spell after completing The Caretaker's Lunar Lament Main Quest. From the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flames, turn around and go through the large door. You will need to have this door unlocked. Then go down the stairs and you'll see a puzzle door on your right. You'll see both question marks nearby, first one on the left and the second one on the right by the corner of the stairs. Solve the puzzle, the collection chest is just beyond the puzzle door.

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Ravenclaw Tower

• Location: Collection Chest found at the Ravenclaw Tower. From the Ravenclaw Tower Floo Flames, you will immediately see a puzzle door on the right. Both question marks can be seen on the opposite side of the walls. Solve these to open the puzzle door and retrieve the collection chest.

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Viaduct #1

• Location: Collection Chest found within Hogwarts Grounds. Starting from the Central Hall Floo Flames, go up the stairs and go outside through the large doors. Once outside, you'll see four braziers, you can light them up using Incendio or Confringo. There's a grate on the floor with symbols and numbers, these correspond to the four braziers you will see. Interact with each to show the numbers. After opening the grate, climb down and on the left is the Collection Chest.

Collection Chest - Hogwarts Grounds - Viaduct #2

• Location: Collection Chest found within Hogwarts Grounds. Starting from the Central Hall Floo Flames, go up the stairs and go outside through the large doors. Once outside, you'll see four braziers, you can light them up using Incendio or Confringo. There's a grate on the floor with symbols and numbers, these correspond to the four braziers you will see. Interact with each to show the numbers. After opening the grate, climb down and on the right is the Collection Chest.
