Defence Against The Dark Arts Class is a Main Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. Defence Against The Dark Arts Class is part of your first day at Hogwarts. Main Quests are mandatory Quests that tell the main story of the game, and completing all of them will accomplish the completion of the game. Still, that doesn't mean that Subquests, Challenges and Collections are not important, as these quests grant very useful items as rewards for completion and also contain a lot of Lore.
Defence Against The Dark Arts Class Hogwarts Legacy Walkthrough
Go to Defence Against The Dark Arts
Select Defence Against The Dark Arts Class Quest and follow the marker to reach the location without difficulties.
When you enter the classroom, Sebastian Sallow and Leander Prewett will have a wands duel, which causes that a large Hebridean Black skull falls on the students. At that very moment, the Professor Hecat will make her appearance conjuring the Levioso spell, saving both students from being crushed by the skull.
After a brief introduction, she will teach you how to conjure the Levioso Spell, a Levitation Charm, starting with something small.
Steady your wand with Left stick and guide it along the symbol's path to learn the spell. Press the corresponding Input when prompted to accelerate your wand's motion along the symbol's path.
Once you have learned the spell, the teacher will ask you to try to do it with something bigger.
Perform a Basic Cast on the training Dummy
Perform a Basci Cast (
), and see how the dummy deflected your cast. Use Levioso first, then the basic Cast.
The best way to practise is by duelling. When an opponent has a yellow shield, you can cast Levioso first, and then the basic Cast. You can break Yellows Shields with Control Spells like the Levitation Spell, Levioso. A surprised opponent is a weak opponet.
Duel against Sebastian
The teacher will encourage you to challenge yourself against Sebastian in a duel and apply what you have learned. Execute a simple combo using Levioso, Basic Cast and Protego repeatedly until you defeat your opponent
Speak with Sebastian
Once the duel is over, Professor Hecta told you to speak with Sebastian about additional duelling practise. He thinks you are a perfect fit for a certain exclusive, unsanctioned duelling organisation. If you want to get the most out of your time at Hogwarts, you are going to need to break the rules now and then. Whether it's joing a secret duelling club or sneaking into the Resticted Section of the Library, you just have to be clever enough not to get caught. Look for Lucan Brattleby near the Clock Tower Entrance if you are interested.
