In the Shadow of the Undercroft is a Main Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. In the Shadow of the Undercroft the player will discover and access the Undercroft and its secrets. Main Quests are mandatory Quests that tell the main story of the game, and completing all of them will accomplish the completion of the game. Still, that doesn't mean that Subquests, Challenges and Collections are not important, as these quests grant very useful items as rewards for completion and also contain a lot of Lore.
In the Shadow of the Undercroft Hogwarts Legacy Walkthrough
After the first flying class, Sebastian Sallow wants to meet with us.
Meet Sebastian
Fast travel to the Defense Against the Dark Arts Floo Flame, located in the Astronomy Wing, and move towards the quest marker to meet with Sebastian.
Enter the Secret Room
Follow Sebastian around, and you will have to hold 
to open the secret passage that leads to the Undercroft.
Explore the Room
Use Revelio as you enter the room to reveal some chest. Open them and head to Sebastian
Talk to Sebastian
Talk to Sebastian to learn Confringo, the Blasting Curse. Your usual new spell mini-game will appear. Complete it to continue.
Practice Casting Confringo
Confringo fires an explosive blast, and besides burning enemies from a distance, it can also be used to solve some environmental puzzles around the world. Practice the spell on the candelabra marked with the yellow waypoint. After that, repeat this process on all candelabras in the room.
Check back with Sebastian
Return to Sebastian Sallow to tell him about your findings.
Meet Sebastian
Fast travel to the Defense Against the Dark Arts Floo Flame, located in the Astronomy Wing, and move towards the quest marker to meet with Sebastian.
Leave the Undercroft
Leave the area to meet Ominis outside, and after the conversation the quest will end.
