Percival Rackham's Trial is a Main Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. Percival Rackham's Trial revolves around unveiling the first one of Percival's trials. Main Quests are mandatory Quests that tell the main story of the game, and completing all of them will accomplish the completion of the game. Still, that doesn't mean that Subquests, Challenges and Collections are not important, as these quests grant very useful items as rewards for completion and also contain a lot of Lore.

Meet Professor Fig at the Tower
Head to Jackdaw's Tomb Floo Flame, located in The Forbidden Forest, to the east of Hogsmeade. Then use your Broom to fly to your destination. You may need to wait for Professor Fig if he's not already there.
Investigate the Goblin Presence
Start by following Professor Fig towards the ruins, and as he reaches the first flight of stairs, cast Disillusionment. You will learn Petrificus Totalus, the Petrification Charm. You have to sneak up on an enemy without being detected and press square to incapacitate a weaker enemy, or deal massive damage to a stronger one.
Get past the Goblins
Eliminate all present goblins.
Search the Tower
Before entering the tower, explore the camp. Enter the tower and climb it. Loot anything you find on your way, and talk to Percival's portrait once you reach the top.
Find the entrance to the first trail
Head downstairs and stand on the yellow waypoint. Investigate the ancient magic pool.
Enter Percival Rackham's Trial
Pass through the portal and enter the first trial.
Complete Percival Rackham's Trial
As soon as you are able, head downstairs, and investigate the pool of ancient magic. You can find a small chest near the pool. Take the new portal, and find two more chests, one on each side. Proceed to the next room, to find a big empty mirror. Go past the mirror, and open two more chests in that room. You will find another pool of ancient magic, interact with it and enter the portal that appears behind you.
Head to the next room and fight the Sentinels. Then check the right side of this room to find a chest. Return to the main room and use Accio on the platform, this will pull it towards you. Head to the right side of the room, where you can find an Accio hook on the wall, and then interact with the ancient pool of magic.
If you have paid attention, you may have noticed that the previous room has just changed. This allows you to reach new ledges that contain chests. So grab them before entering through the portal. After that, enter through the portal, to find one more chest, and then enter through it again.
Get on the platform and use the hook just behind the portal to go past it. Keep going, until you have to fight a few Sentinels. Then go down and up the stairs. When you are up the stairs, pull the platform towards you. This will allow you to interact with the pool of ancient magic that's in mid-air.
Drop and cross the portal, enter from the blue side. Pull the platform you were just on towards the middle of the room, past the knelt sentinel. Then climb up that stairs once again and pull the platform towards you. Now use the hook on the left side of the room, this will lead you to a chest.
Drop and go through the portal again, but now enter through the red side. Use the stairs again and go up. This time, use the platform to go towards the waypoint. You will find more hostile Sentinels. Head down the stairs, and interact, once again, with the pool of ancient magic.
Now step on the platform and use the hook to pull yourself to the right side of the chasm. You will find another hook on the right side of the portal, use it to reach yet another chest. Drop into the chasm to reset the area.
Once again, interact with the pool of ancient magic and step on the platform. Now use the hook on the left side of the chasm, but don't go all the way, stop halfway through. This will allow you to hook the platform on the other side of the portal.
When both the platform you are on and the one you've just pulled are close together, jump through the portal. You will land on the other side.
If done correctly, the hook next to the next waypoint will allow you to get across. Keep moving until you reach a large arena. You will fight Protectors, Sentinels and Sentries. As soon as you defeat them, you will have to fight a Pensieve Guardian. It is a harder enemy because it has two health bars.
Learn the Trial's Secret
Proceed to the next waypoint once the guardian is defeated. Open the chest near the Pensieve and finally, interact with it to trigger a cutscene.
Return to the Map Chamber
Interact with the crystallized archway, to return to the map chamber
Speak to Fig and Professor Rackham
Head to the waypoint and talk to both Professors.
Speak with Charles Rookwood
Interact with Charles Rookwood's Portrait to speak with him. This will end this quest.

Professor Fig and I had to run off goblins we found at the tower. They clearly suspect the tower has some significance. My ability to see traces of ancient magic allowed me to discover the entrance to the first trial. I completed the trial and fended off the ancient guards protecting a Pensieve memory. The Pensieve revealed a story about Isidora becoming a professor at Hogwarts and trying to use ancient magic to take away pain. From there, I returned to the Map Chamber and discovered that another Keeper's portrait had been revealed. This one belongs to Professor Charles Rookwood. He told me to watch for swirling traces of ancient magic throughout the world. Professor Fig wants to find out what Ranrok knows.
