Slytherin is one of the 4 Houses in Hogwarts Legacy. Slytherin is known for its focus on ambition, cunning, and resourcefulness. It is symbolised by its mascot, the Serpent, and is a safe haven for those who seek to master their craft and to hone their magical skills. Members of this house pride themselves on their ambition and will do whatever it takes to get what they want. Slytherin Students are also known for their resourcefulness and for their willingness to take on any challenge no matter the difficulty. Slytherin students are especially encouraged to take risks and to never back down from a challenge. In Hogwarts Legacy, players have the opportunity to join one of four main houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. Each of these Houses has its own unique philosophy and values that guide their approach to magic and the way they interact with the world. As players progress through the game, they may experience different events or challenges depending on which house they belong to, as the game's story may differ depending on the player's house.

Students from this house are renowned for their loyalty and commitment to each other, and their dedication to mastery of powerful spells and magical artifacts is unquestioned. Along with their drive for excellence, Slytherins also hold a strong sense of family and community, making them a powerful presence in the wizarding world.

Slytherin Sorting Hat Ceremony Hogwarts Legacy

The Sorting Hat will take your choice into account when sorting you into your house. Players will have the opportunity to partake in the Sorting Hat Ceremony at the end of The Path to Hogwarts main quest. As a new student, players will be sorted into one of the four houses. Players will be asked a question that will relate directly to the values of a house. The hat will then reveal a house according to the player's response. However, players can ultimately decide which house they want to be sorted into after. After this point, players will be locked into the selected house. The first question will only provide two options, and each does not seem to affect the outcome. When asked what trait he senses in you, choose Ambition to be automatically sorted into Slytherin.

How to reach the Slytherin Common Room

The Slytherin common room is located on the lower floors of the Hogwarts castle. From the Grand Staircase, head down the stairs to the dungeons.  There will be. door where you can turn there will be another place to continue down to the lower floors. As you approach Slytherin territory, you will begin to see more snake inscriptions and decals all over the torches, lamps, and floors. This is where students from the Slytherin house will be able to find a door to their common room. Players from other houses will instead see a blank wall in place of the common room entrance. 

 

Slytherin Common Room in Hogwarts Legacy

The Slytherin Dungeon is the iconic home of the Hogwarts House of Slytherin. It is notorious for its dark atmosphere and is often regarded as intimidating. Despite this, it is an incredibly important part of the history of Hogwarts and is an integral part of the Slytherin House. The Slytherin Dungeon is located in the basement of Hogwarts Castle, adjacent to the Slytherin Common Room. It is a large underground chamber with a high ceiling and a dark and mysterious atmosphere. It is home to the actual dungeons of Hogwarts, as well as many secret passageways and forbidden chambers. 

 

Common Room Interactions

Players will first begin the Welcome to Hogwarts main quest in their selected common room which takes the time to allow players to interact with some of the students from the same house and introduce themselves before starting the first lesson.

Slytherin House Chest

Some special interactions around this common room include the House Chest, found in each common room. This chest is directly related to The Daedalian Keys which tasks players to locate all Daedalian Keys in order to collect all 16 house tokens that must be returned to the chest in the Slytherin common room in order to collect the Relic House Uniform.
