Back on the Path is a Main Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. Back on the Path has the player talking to the second keeper, Charles Rookwood, to prepare for the second trial. Main Quests are mandatory Quests that tell the main story of the game, and completing all of them will accomplish the completion of the game. Still, that doesn't mean that Subquests, Challenges and Collections are not important, as these quests grant very useful items as rewards for completion and also contain a lot of Lore.

Go to the Map Chamber
Fast travel to the Map Chamber and head to the frames.
Talk to Professor Fig
Talk to Professor Fig to discuss the steps of the plan. This will finish the quest.
Hogwarts Legacy Back on the Path Information
I met with Professor Fig in the Map Chamber and updated him on my dealings with Lodgok. The portrait of Charles Rookwood advised me that the next trial is at his former residence, Rookwood Castle. I told Professor Rookwood that his descendent, Victor Rookwood, is a Dark Wizard. He was incensed and needs me to go to the castle. He says there is something beneath it that Victor Rookwood and the goblins cannot find. I'm to go there and complete the trial and view Professor Rookwood's Pensive memory. Then he'll tell me more.
