Wand Mastery is a Main Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. Wand Mastery comes after completing Sam Bakar's Trial, and has the player facing Victor Rookwood for the final time. Main Quests are mandatory Quests that tell the main story of the game, and completing all of them will accomplish the completion of the game. Still, that doesn't mean that Subquests, Challenges and Collections are not important, as these quests grant very useful items as rewards for completion and also contain a lot of Lore.
Wand Mastery Hogwarts Legacy Walkthrough
Consult with Gebold Ollivander
Fast travel to South Hogsmeade and start the quest located in front of Ollivander's Wand Shop. Talk to him and a cutscene will trigger.
Defend yourself from Rookwood's Lot
Defeat all Enemies. After you kill all enemies, Victor Rookwood will join in. When he does, press the prompt to counter his Avada Kedavra.
Defeat Victor Rookwood
The most important fact about this fight is to use Stupefy, because this is the only way to break his defensive shield. Spam all possible Damage Spells on him when you break the shield. Once his health is depleted, he will cast Avada Kedavra once more, be ready to counter it one last time.
After this, the quest will end.
Hogwarts Legacy Wand Mastery Information
Mr Ollivander was able to use the artefacts I collected from above the Pensieves to craft the Keepers’ wand. When I exited the wand shop, however, Rookwood ambushed me and demanded that I hand it over. When I refused, his lot took me to a remote location, where they attempted to take it from me by force. I knew that the fate of the wizarding world was in my hands, so against all odds, I defeated Rookwood and everyone he brought with him. Now, I need to bring the wand to Professor Fig and the Keepers in the Map Chamber.
