Herbology Class is a Main Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. Herbology Class is the twelfth quest and comes after Tomes and Tribulations. Main Quests are mandatory Quests that tell the main story of the game, and completing all of them will accomplish the completion of the game. Still, that doesn't mean that Subquests, Challenges and Collections are not important, as these quests grant very useful items as rewards for completion and also contain a lot of Lore.
Herbology Class Hogwarts Legacy Walkthrough
After completing Tomes and Tribulations, Fig will remain studying the book. We can wander around, and head to the Herbology Class.
Go to Herbology Class
Use your charmed compass by pressing up on the d-pad and follow the gold trail until you reach your destination. Press 
to initiate the quest.
While at the class, hold X to be able to firmly pull the Mandrake from the pot. The use down on the right stick to pot it.
Talk to Professor Garlick
When you are finished with the Mandrakes, talk to Professor Garlick. She will give you detailed instructions on how to plant the Dittany Seeds we have previously bought in Hogsmeade.
Plant Dittany Seeds at the Potting Table
Move towards the Potting table and interact with the Small Planter, and choose the Dittany Pouch. You will notice that all Plants in Hogwarts Legacy have a specific growth time that is expressed in real-life minutes.
When you are done planting, leave the potting table and harvest ditanny when available. You can use it to create Wiggenweld Potions.
Meet Leander Prewett
Head to the nearby stairs and you will meet Leander Prewett.
Go to the Other Greenhouse
Use up on your D-pad to activate your charmed compass, and follow the golden trail to your new destination. Don't forget to grab all the Plants you can find on your way while heading to the other greenhouse.
When you reach the other greenhouse, grab some Chinese Chomping Cabbage.
Attack the target Dummy with a Chomping Cabbage
Open the tool wheel by holding 
, and assign the Chinese Chomping Cabbage using the right stick. Then, tap to use it against the dummy.
Return to Professor Garlick
Return to her once you are done with the dummy, (or when you finish exploring a bit if you like), to end the class and complete the quest.
Hogwarts Legacy Herbology Class Information
I attended my first Herbology class and learned a bit. First, I got into a spot of trouble with an overly ripe Mandrake. Then I learned how to use a Potting Table and planted some dittany. After that I met Leander Prewett, and we tended to some Chinese Chomping Cabbages. After giving the cabbages some proper tending, I learned how to deploy them. I should figure out to grow even more plants. They are incredibly useful.
