Quest and Details related to Lenora Everleigh in Hogwarts Legacy

A Hufflepuff student, that everyone thinks that she is utterly barmy. After a short talk, she gives Like a Moth to a Frame Subquest.

In the hall where the fountain with statues of mermaids can be found, there's a student called Lenora Everleigh next to an empty painting. By talking to her, she'll start complaining about what people think about her. She explains she is conflicted by painting that she hasn't seen before, and she won't let it go as she thinks there's something more to it. When asked about any insight about the painting, she'll hint you that the painting reacts to the Lumos spell but she is not sure what to do next.

The Painting Puzzle

By casting Lumos towards the painting, butterflies around it will shake their wings and the painting will become visible showing an image of a specific location. The location can be found nearby walking down a stair and then turn to the left. You'll find a butterfly on the wall, by casting Lumos the butterfly will follow you. Take it back to the painting and go talk to Lenora again.

You can choose to tell her or not how you solved the painting puzzle. But the quest will count as completed once you talk to her.

  • Let's see, how to balance my Starthistle arrangement: Niffler's Fancy or roses?
  • Good morning, Professor Garlick.
  • I can never remember which dung Puffapods prefer: dragon or Mooncalf.
  • I wish she'd called on me. I've been practising.
  • Oh, drat, I'm not ready for Professor Binns's lecture. I forgot my pillow.
  • How can we do so much and accomplish so little?
  • There you are. There you are.
  • She's awfully regal, isn't she?
  • That's good, isn't it?
  • Such a beautiful owl.
  • Thank you for not biting me.
  • Oh, hello.
  • Abandoning class to wander the halls is in keeping with Professor Binns's manner of teaching.
  • I don't know whose she is – likely one of the Hufflepuffs around here. Owls choose their own company anyway.
  • Nevertheless, it is rather unusual. You must feel terribly – out of place.
  • Indeed. Four years of schoolwork is a bit. Being that far behind – I'd feel so – inadequate.
  • I'm Lenora, by the way – Lenora Everleigh. Well, mustn't keep you. You've such a lot to do.
  • Of course – adieu.
  • Well – my brothers were. They both work in the Ministry now. I suppose you could say that wit runs in the family.
  • I'm hard-working, too, as you might suspect. But sometimes I think I should've been a Ravenclaw.
  • Who would've thought that watching plants grow could be so interesting?
  • Of course, presumably as a hard-working Hufflepuff, you'll prove yourself in no time!
  • My aunt was a Gryffindor though, and I've always had plenty in common with her – determination, valour, daring.
  • The old Sorting Hat was spoiled for choice with me.
  • Oh, um –
  • Wait – you're the new fifth-year. Quite the dramatic entrance you made.
  • Can't imagine wanting to call attention to yourself. Especially since everyone will be watching to see how much you already know.
  • I've rather a searing wit. At least, people have always told me so.
  • A portrait in our common room wants to talk to you. It's Eldritch Diggory. He used to be the Minister for Magic, I think.
  • Surely you jest.
  • Practically competing with Imelda to see who's a more infuriating know-it-all.
  • It's not necessarily special, as far as I can tell. It's some sort of puzzle that I'm trying to work out.
  • Time I took a little rest from that impossibly frustrating painting.
  • Mind your own business!
  • Yes, a few. This entire place is somewhat of a riddle, to be honest.
  • Excellent broom skills.
  • One wonders how the Graphorn feels about all this.
  • I imagine riding a Hippogriff to be quite majestic.
  • My goodness, aren't we in a casual mood?
  • Professor Fig may be gone, but we'll never forget him.
  • I can't help but feel that the troll is also a victim in the Hogsmeade attack. It wasn't in its right mind.
  • Ranrok's gone, but perhaps his Loyalists did make some important statements about goblin rights.
  • The Dark Arts? Unthinkable!
  • I hope you know what you're doing.
  • You shouldn't be doing that near me.
  • Mind yourself.

Quest Lines:

  • Oh, hello. I'm Lenora. Pardon me if I seem a little distracted at the moment.
  • Everyone thinks I'm utterly barmy. Samantha thinks I'm potty. But, it's this painting. I never noticed it before.
  • If I know Hogwarts, and I do, an empty frame doesn't appear for no reason. There's something more to this.
  • I've been wracking my brains long enough. I hope you'll have better luck than I have.
  • If I can work out the riddle of this one I'll know what to do with all of them. As good a place as any to begin.
  • I did discover that casting Lumos has an effect of some kind, but I'm not sure what to do next.
  • There's something in there, I just know it.
  • Have a look, if you're of a mind. Perhaps you can spot a clue that I've missed.
  • Someone's bound to solve the riddle of the empty painting soon.
  • You have a knack for solving riddles. Natty's good at that too. So is Amit – although he does tend to overexplain.
  • Ugh. What am I missing?
  • This cannot possibly be as difficult as it seems.
  • Do come and find me if you stumble on something illuminating that solves the mystery.
  • You did? How?
  • The moth! I should have seen that.
  • Imagine – solving a riddle that I mentioned and then not telling me the answer.
  • You have nerve. Especially since I'm the one who told you about it in the first place.
  • All very logical, I suppose. Pity, I was so close to solving it.
  • Well I'm glad someone figured it out.
  • It's a relief to finally have an answer as to why that portrait was empty.

Hogwarts Legacy Lenora Everleigh Notes & Lore

  • Lenora Everleigh is a student of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wisdom. In this game, she is a member of the Hufflepuff house and is known for her unique personality and quirky ways. Despite her odd behavior, Lenora is widely regarded as a warm and friendly person by those who know her well.
  • However, not everyone shares this positive view of Lenora. In the wizarding world of Hogwarts Legacy, many people think that she is utterly barmy, meaning that they believe she is crazy or eccentric. Despite this, Lenora is never deterred by others' opinions of her and continues to be true to herself..
  • Lenora is known for her love of the absurd and the unusual. She has a strong sense of humor and loves to make people laugh with her silly antics. Despite her quirky ways, Lenora is a kind and compassionate person, always willing to help others in need.
  • She is trying to solve a mystery of an empty frame on the wall, and gives you a hint of what she found out so far. You can then try to solve it. If you solve it, she will ask you how. But you have the option to tell her or not.
    • By not telling her, she'll get mad that she introduced you to the puzzle. The conversation will be over, but you can still hear her complaining about you not telling her how you solved the puzzle while you roam around nearby. Again mentioning people she knows, like 'Imelda' who seems to infuriate her with her know-it-all attitude.
    • By telling her how you solved it, she'll tell you that you have a 'knack' for solving riddles. And later compare you with Natty or Amit who seem to be also good at solving riddles.
