Demiguise Statues in Hogwarts Legacy are a type of Collectible. They are hidden statues spread throughout the different Locations of the map. Hogwarts Legacy Demiguise Statues Overview
Demiguise Statues are introduced during the main quest The Caretaker's Lunar Lament which is obtained upon completing Percival Rackham's Trial and after the season changes to autumn. During this quest, gets you acquainted with the Demiguise Statues Collectible mechanic, and teaches you the Alohomora spell which goes hand in hand with the retrieval of these items.
How to Collect Demiguise Statues in Hogwarts Legacy
Demiguise Statue Day State and Night State
During the day, Demiguise Statues appear as bronze figurines of a monkey-like creature, clutching a blue jewel known as a Demiguise Moon. These moons are the actual objects that you collect. However, these moons can only be collected during night time.
At night, the statues take on a translucent, almost ethereal form and the Demiguise Moons they are clutching glow a bright blue. At this point, they can be retrieved as any normal item. Once a moon is collected, its Statue vanishes. When encountering a Demiguise Statue while exploring during the day, you can open your Map and press the Right Analog Stick (F key on PC) to activate the Wait function which allows you to immediately progress time to nightfall or daybreak.
Collecting them is a simple enough endeavor but do note that many Demiguise Statues are found behind locked doors. This is where the Alohomora spell comes in handy.
Picking Locks with Alohomora
Alohomora is an unlocking spell that can be used to pick the locks of doors, allowing players to enter places that are otherwise restricted. Once you learn the spell from Gladwin Moon, you will be able to pick Level 1 Locks. To pick a lock, simply interact with one that is the same level of your Alohomora spell. This will begin the lockpicking minigame.
In order to open the lock, you must move the Green and Red sparks towards the edge of the dials and rotate them. The Left Analog Stick (Q and E on PC) controls the Green Spark which moves the outer dial, while the Right Analog Stick (A and D on PC) controls the Red Spark which moves the inner dial. Rotate each dial slowly until the corresponding gear at the bottom right begins to move. Once you find the right spot, keep the dial steady and then rotate the other dial. When successful, the mechanism will click and the lock will open.
Demiguise Statues can be found in various locations all over the Wizarding World. Each region and the Locations found within contain a set number of these statues and you can hover over a location on your Map to view how many Statues you have left to find in each place.
Why should I collect Demiguise Statues in Hogwarts Legacy?
Aside from the relevant trophy/achievement, Demiguise Statues and the Demiguise Moons are the key to upgrading the Alohomora spell in order to open higher level locks. Collecting them also unlocks the mystery behind who is tormenting Gladwin Moon with these Statues. To upgrade Alohomora, you must return a certain amount of moons to Gladwin:
- Alohomora I - Learned during The Caretaker's Lunar Lament - Opens Level 1 Locks
- Alohomora II - Return 9 moons to Gladwin Moon - Opens Level 2 Locks
- Alohomora III - Return 13 more moons to Gladwin Moon - Opens Level 3 Locks
Keep in mind that many Statues are themselves are locked behind Level 2 and 3 doors so it is imperative that you spend some time collecting Statues that you can and upgrading Alohomora to complete the collection.
Hogwarts Legacy Demiguise Statues Achievements
Players who manage to locate all Demiguise Statues in Hogwarts Legacy will earn the Bronze Trophy: Demiguise Dread. There are a total of 33 Demiguise Statues to be found throughout the different locations of the game. View all obtainable Trophies and Achievements and how to obtain them here.
The first Demiguise Statue appearance was spotted in the initial trailer releases of Hogwarts Legacy as the trailer showcased the game's Talents and Abilities. The Statue was featured as part of the backdrop to the title introduction.
Hogwarts Legacy Demiguise Background
Demiguise: Sees (light) immediate future
It has the remarkable ability to become invisible at will, and has precognitive sight. The only way to catch it is to do something completely unpredictable.
The Demiguise are creatures that have made several appearances throughout the franchise and are known for their special coat that allows them to turn invisible. They also have the ability to tell the future, making them popular yet very rare creatures. Because of these abilities, their coats were also used to make Invisibility Cloaks. In Hogwarts Legacy, they make an appearance as a statue, which players can locate in order to gain an in-game achievement.
All Demiguise Statue Locations Hogwarts Legacy
The following Demiguise Statue lists are divided by region, with each list organized by the Alohomora Level Requirement in order to obtain each Statue. Note that under Requirements, there is no difference between "None" and "Alohomora I" except for having to unlock doors with the latter. You will have access to the location either way whereas "Alohomora II" and "Alohomora III" requires that you actually upgrade your spell first.

Hogwarts Castle Demiguise Statues
There are a total of 10 Demiguise Statues to be found within Hogwarts. You can obtain up to 7 of them as soon as you begin the search for the Statues, but the last 3 can only be acquired after upgrading your Alohomora to Level 2 which requires returning 9 Demiguise Moons to Gladwin Moon. You can find other Statues in Hogsmeade or the outer Highlands regions in order to upgrade your spell and complete the Hogwarts collection.
Note: The first 3 Demiguise Statues obtained during The Caretaker's Lunar Lament are not counted towards the 10 found within Hogwarts Castle and are not listed on the World Map, but they are counted towards the grand total of 33 Statues required to get the Demiguise Dread Trophy/Achievement.
Demiguise Statue - Professor Fig's Classroom
This Demiguise Statue can be found in Professor Fig's Office at the back of his classroom. Warp or make your way to the Professor Fig's Classroom Floo Flame. Enter the classroom and simply make your way into the office via the stairs in the back. The Statue can be found on a stand to the left of the fireplace.

Demiguise Statue - Divination Classroom
This Demiguise Statue is found inside the Divination Classroom at the Library Annex of the castle. Warp or make your way to the Divination Classroom Floo Flame and continue up the spiral staircase all the way to the end where a ladder will drop down to allow you into the classroom. The Statue can then be found on Professor Onai's desk at the back.

Demiguise Statue - The Restricted Section
A Demiguise Statue can be found in The Restricted Section of the castle's Library. This the same location visited during Secrets of The Restricted Section, one of the earliest Main Quests. From the Library Floo Flame, make your way through the formerly locked area on the left and retrace your steps from the quest to make your way two floors down to find the Statue on a lit desk stand just before the door to the next area.

Demiguise Statue - The Great Hall
A Demiguise Statue can be found in The Great Hall where students and faculty dine. Once in the Great Hall, look for a locked room on the right side of the hall, in the far back. This door only requires Alohomora I. Inside the room, the Statue can be found on the table in the middle.

Demiguise Statue - Haunted Toilets
A Demiguise Statue can be found inside the Haunted Toilets at the Gryffindor Tower which can be reached by warping to the Clocktower Courtyard Floo Flame, taking the door to the north and crossing the bridge. Once at the tower, walk straight ahead past the Map of Argyllshire, then turn left where you will come across two toilet doors on the left. The second of these has a Level 1 Lock. Unlock it with Alohomora and check the middle toilet stall in the back with the Out of Order sign for a hidden room where you can find the Statue on top of a crate.

Demiguise Statue - Muggle Studies Classroom
A Demiguise Statue can be found in the locked Muggle Studies Classroom. To get there, warp to the Transfiguration Classroom Floo Flame. From here, walk a short distance toward the northeast along the covered walkway and enter the double doors to your left to enter the North Hall. Inside, make a right down the stairwell towards the Dungeons area. Follow the path downwards until you come across a Sleeping Dragon statue. Opposite from it is a hallway where you can find the Muggle Studies Classroom to your left. Unlock the door with Alohomora and the Statue will be just to the right of the door on top of a cabinet.

Demiguise Statue - North Exit Ramparts
This Demiguise Statue can be found by warping to the Hogwarts North Exit Floo Flame. Once you warp to the gates, turn around and hug the walls to your left until you reach the stairs leading up to the ramparts. Check the side of the stairs for a door with a Level 1 Lock. Unlock it with Alohomora and grab the Statue on a crate to the right inside the room.

Demiguise Statue - Defense Against the Dark Arts Tower
This Demiguise Statue can be found at the Defense Against the Dark Arts Tower's ground floor. Warp to the Transfiguration Courtyard Floo Flame and enter the tower through the double doors. To the right of the staircase is a door between two Gargoyles with a Level 2 Lock. Open it with Alohomora to find the Statue on the desk to the left as you enter the office.

Demiguise Statue - Beasts Classroom
This Demiguise Statue is found in a locked room to the right of the Beasts Classroom at the school grounds outside in the Bell Tower Wing. The room has a Level 2 Lock. Open it with Alohomora and grab the Statue on the table in the back.

Demiguise Statue - Long Gallery
This Demiguise is found in the Long Gallery, a locked section underneath the Library Annex of the castle. Warp to the Potions Classroom Floo Flame, head through the doors towards the Potions Classroom but instead of going in, take the spiral staircase next to it all the way down to find a door with a Level 1 Lock which leads to the Long Gallery. In the next hallway, go straight ahead and check the first door on the left to a storeroom with a Level 2 Lock. Open it to find the Statue inside.

Hogsmeade Hogsmeade Demiguise Statues
There are a total of 9 Demiguise Statues in Hogsmeade, two of which require you to upgrade Alohomora to Level 2. Note that this only includes the Statues located within the Hogsmeade Map itself and not the Hogsmeade Valley region which is part of the outer World Map and featured in The Highlands tab.
Demiguise Statue - Tomes and Scrolls
A Demiguise Statue is found in the Tomes and Scrolls shop, close to the southwest entrance to Hogsmeade. In the store, walk behind the counter to the bedroom to find the Statue on top of a dresser.

Demiguise Statue - Hog's Head
A Demiguise Statue can be found at the Hogs Head pub in western Hogsmeade, close to the Hogsmeade West Floo Flame. Inside the pub, walk behind the counter to the backroom where you will find the Statue atop two stacked crates.

Demiguise Statue - Dervish and Banges / Gladrags Wizardwear
A Demiguise Statue can be found at Dervish and Banges, an unmarked store which shares the building with Gladrags Wizardwear at Hogsmead Square central plaza. The Statue is found on the counter, next to a magical anvil.

Demiguise Statue - The Three Broomsticks
A Demiguise Statue can be found at The Three Broomsticks inn near the center of Hogsmeade. Once inside, climb the stairs to the left of the entrance, all the way to the top where you will find a door with a Level 1 Lock. Unlock it with Alohomora to find the Statue on a coffee table in the center of the room.

Demiguise Statue - South-Central House
A Demiguise Statue can be found in an unmarked house in south-central Hogsmeade. Walk down the street to the east from the south side of The Three Broomsticks to find a house with a Level 1 Lock. Open the door with Alohomora and go up the stairs to find the Statue on a side table in the upper room.

Demiguise Statue - Eastern House
A Demiguise Statue can be found in an unmarked house in eastern Hogsmeade. From the Hogsmeade North Floo Flame, walk towards the lake in the north and follow the cobblestone path towards the east, going behind the Honeydukes store. You will find two houses here. Go to the one on the right which has a Level 1 Lock on the door. Open it with Alohomora and you will find the Statue sitting on a small table right in the center of the house.

Demiguise Statue - Northeast House
A Demiguise Statue can be found in an unmarked house opposite of the Brood and Peck store in northern Hogsmeade. The door has a Level 1 Lock. Open it with Alohomora to find the Statue on top of the fireplace just ahead as you enter.

A Demiguise Statue can be found in an unmarked two-storied house in the southwest of Hogsmeade. To find it, head to Tomes and Scrolls near the south entrance and follow the road north. Make the first left when you can and look for a house with a Level 2 Lock on the left side of the street. Unlock it with Alohomora and walk up the stairs to find the Statue on top of a dresser in the bedroom.

The Highlands Demiguise Statues
The Highlands refers to the regions outside of Hogwarts Grounds and Hogsmeade. These locations can be viewed on the Map by switching to the World Map. Demiguise Statues in The Highlands are all found within the various hamlets, villages and other settlements in each region. Each settlement has 1 Demiguise Statue, making for a total of 11.
Demiguise Statue - Pitt-Upon-Ford
A Demiguise Statue can be found in the village of Pitt-Upon-Ford in the North Ford Bog region. From the Pitt-Upon-Ford Floo Flame, look for the largest house in the west with the picket fences and cows roaming the front lawn. Enter the house and climb all the way to the attic to find the Statue on the floor next to a mirror.

A Demiguise Statue can be found in a large house in the Upper Hogsfield hamlet. From the Upper Hogsfield Floo Flame walk a short distance north until you find a well and then enter the house to its left. The Statue can be found sitting on a stool just as you enter.

A Demiguise Statue can be found in the village of Bainburgh in northern Manor Cape. From the Bainburgh Floo Flame, look to the north for a house past the village's notice board. It has a Level 2 Lock. Unlock it with Alohomora to find the Statue on a side table next to a chair.
