Prisoner of Love is a Main Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. Prisoner of Love is an exclusive quest for the Hufflepuff house and becomes available after completing the Trials of Merlin quest. Main Quests are mandatory Quests that tell the main story of the game, and completing all of them will accomplish the completion of the game. Still, that doesn't mean that Subquests, Challenges and Collections are not important, as these quests grant very useful items as rewards for completion and also contain a lot of Lore.
Prisoner of Love Hogwarts Legacy Walkthrough
After completing the Trials of Merlin main quest, you will receive an Owl Post from Lenora Everleigh asking you to speak with a portrait in the Hufflepuff Common Room.
Speak to the portrait of Eldritch Diggory
Make your way to the portrait and speak with sir Eldritch Diggory, who seeks your aid in solving a decades-old murder that may be related to the book you found during Secrets of the Restricted Section, as well as its missing pages. He asks you to meet with his great-niece, Helen Thistlewood, in the hamlet of Upper Hogsfield for details on the murder, which was her case before she retired as an Auror.
Speak to Helen Thistlewood
Upper Hogsfield is a small hamlet found northeast of Hogsmeade. If you had not explored there before, fast travel to the North Hogsmeade Floo Flame and exit the village through the northeast, following the path to Upper Hogsfield. Upon arriving at her house, Eldritch Diggory will greet you from the portrait of himself. Speak to Helen to find out about a student named Richard Jackdaw who disappeared after meeting a girl named Anne Thisbe, who was convicted of his murder and sent to Azkaban. She thinks there may yet be more to the case. Seeing as how you have a connection to the book and its pages much like Jackdaw did, Anne may yet reveal some new information. She asks you to accompany her to speak with Anne in Azkaban and will Apparate (teleport) the both of you there directly.
A cutscene plays upon your arrival as Helen defends you against the Dementors lurking about the prison.
Speak to Anne in Azkaban
Follow Helen closely through the prison hallway and speak to Anne at the end. Decades of wrongful imprisonment had taken a toll on the woman's mind who now speaks in rhymes and riddles. She hints that the missing pages can be found in a cave near Upper Hogsfield, within a vault amongst some ruins. She then calls out to Helen and attacks her through the bars, but Helen transports you both back to Upper Hogsfield just in time. She asks you to go to the cave before teleporting once more.
Find what Jackdaw left for Anne
Once you regain control, follow the quest marker towards the vault by the cliffs north of the village. Inside the vault chamber, cast Revelio and look at the movable blocks with handles on the wall. There are two columns of three blocks on each side of the vault. Use Accio to pull on the ones highlighted by your Revelio spell to unlock the vault. Inside, you will find a note from Jackdaw to Anne, asking her to meet him at the edge of the Forbidden Forest in order to show her a map that he had mentioned, which he had found from pages that Peeves the Poltergeist had ripped from the book.
Leave the vault
After reading the note, leave the vault and you will be approached by the ghost of Richard Jackdaw, whom you tell about Anne's current state and how she was wrongfully imprisoned for his murder. As it turns out, he had no idea about her imprisonment and wishes to help her out by speaking to Helen. He then tells you that he is certain the missing pages from the book are still with his remains from when he was beheaded and asks you to meet him at the edge of the Forbidden Forest to show you where you can find them. After the conversation, the quest is complete.
