A Basis For Blackmail is a Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. Side Quests are not required to advance in the main story of the game, but still completing these Quests can be useful to obtain Rewards for completing them. These quests sometimes serve as tutorials for new activities and may contain some Lore or background of the Harry Potter Universe.

Speak with Natty outside of Hogsmeade
Follow the Waypoint until you reach Natty just outside of Hogsmeade.
Speak with Agabus Philbert
The home west of the Magic Neep has Agabus Philbert standing in front of it. Speak with him.
Speak with Daisy Rabe
On the third floor of The Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade, you can find Daisy Rabe. Obtain Daisy Rabe's Rookwood Note.
Speak with Otto Dibble
The alleyway behind Gladrags Wizardwear is where you can find Otto Dibble.
Return to the meeting spot to update Natty
Once you find all of them, meet up with Natty at the meeting spot by following the Waypoint.
Search for Natty near the Hog's Head Inn
Collect Natty Onai's Wand from atop one of the boxes on the dock behind the Hog's Head Inn. You'll run into that while searching for her.
Search for Natty by casting Revelio
After retrieving her wand, cast Revelio to find out where she is.
Follow the trail
The Hog's Head Inn's south external side is reached by following the route.
Enter the cellar
Under the cellar, enter the Ashwinder Hideout.
Search the cellar
Accio can be used on the two barrels in front of you to expose a door that is concealed on the middle, larger barrel.
Find Natty
The conversation will make it seem like you need to go stealthily, yet you can just engage in combat and eliminate any adversary. Although Infamous Foe Gwendolyn Zhou is a little overleveled, you can stun her and continually assault her with chain attacks. On the second floor, go to the room that faces north after defeating the enemy.
Speak with Isko Rabe
In the northeastern cell, speak with Isko.
Speak with Isko Rabe
On the table in the center of the chamber, there is a Level 1 lock chest that contains Isko Rabe's wand.
Wait for Mr. Rabe to dispel the curses
Isko Rabe will set Natty and himself free.
Find a way out of the Ashwinder's Hideout
Isko Rabe will set Natty and himself free.
Speak with Officer Singer
To finish the task, talk to Officer Singer in Hogsmeade.
