The Hippogriff Marks the Spot is a Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. Side Quests are not required to advance in the main story of the game, but still completing these Quests can be useful to obtain Rewards for completing them. These quests sometimes serve as tutorials for new activities and may contain some Lore or background of the Harry Potter Universe.

Retrieve the rolled parchment from the table in Poidsear Castle
Track the quest and collect Henrietta's Map at the table in the camp indicated by the waypoint. [Map Link]
Use Henrietta's map to find the treasure
The southern portion of Manor Cape is where Henrietta's Hideaway is located according to her treasure map. Use the stairway on the east side of the hideout to access the basement entrance. The Ashwinder troops guarding the hideout can be avoided by sneaking past them or eliminated. There is a statue inside Henrietta's Hideaway, to the north. Use Incendio to ignite it. Then it will rotate to show a block. Bring the block to the pedestal in the east using Accio. Use Incendio to make the block you just moved into a fire, then Glacius to make the block next to it frozen. Then the door will open behind them. Go in the entrance and take out the Ashwinders encircling the statue of the Hippogriff. 8 torches surround the statue of the hippogriff. Use Glacius to extinguish the four fires, which are located in the northeast, southeast, northwest, and west, respectively. Henrietta's map can also be used to determine which flames to extinguish. A wall will appear behind the statue of the Hippogriff after extinguishing the appropriate flames. To finish the quest, open the nearby chest of treasure.
