In the Shadow of Fate is a Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. Side Quests are not required to advance in the main story of the game, but still completing these Quests can be useful to obtain Rewards for completing them. Meet Sebastian in the Undercroft
Underneath the Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom Floo Flame fast travel point is the entrance to the Undercroft. Ominis will declare that he plans to turn in Sebastian. After Ominis leaves, speak to Sebastian after he returns.
Speak with Ominis
You must choose whether or not to turn in Sebastian.
Choices and Results
Do not Turn in Sebastian
- He appears in the cinematic that follows the conclusion of the main quest as well as the last quest in his questline, In the Shadow of Friendship. You'll inform Sebastian, who will feel bad, that Rookwood was the one who cursed Anne.
Turn in Sebastian

His persona will no longer appear since he will be expelled and put on trial at the Ministry of Magic. Additionally, neither in In the Shadow of Friendship nor the cutscene that plays after you finish the main tale will Sebastian make an appearance. In both cases, Ominis will assume his position.
